What is CR-NITE?

CR-NITE is our original surface treatment that combines NV nitriding and chromizing. (Patented in major countries in the world)

Features of CR-NITE

A very hard chromium nitride (Cr2N) layer is formed by reaction of chromium (Cr) to the nitrided layer formed by NV nitriding.

Using stainless steel as base material, it can replace heat-resistant alloys and ceramics parts.

Advantages over nitriding

◎ High wear resistance

◎ High heat resistance (up to 1000℃)

◎ Maintains metallic luster

Cross-sectional hardness before and after high-temperature oxidation test (1000℃ × 300 hours)

What is chromizing?

Chromizing is surface treatment that forms a chromium compound layer or a chromium diffusion layer by diffusion of chromium (Cr) into the base metal. Chromizing on its own is also offered as contract service.

Features of our chromizing process

◎ Significantly reduces surface roughness

◎ Increases high-temperature wear resistance

◎ Reduce sliding torque
